Park Wood regeneration continues

9.12.56am GMT Tue 16th Feb 2010

Work is about to start on the redevelopment of the disused bowling green in Park Wood.

Modern retirement bungalows are to be built on the site. Your local Lib Dem Councillors have worked closely with the housing trust to ensure that residents get the best deal.

Cllr Moriarty said "With the new all weather sports pitch now ready we can happily move forward with the construction of these much needed properties. The buildings that they will replace are at the end of their life and cost far too much for residents to keep warm."

Cllr Rob Field said "Daniel and I are very happy to have worked with the housing trust to ensure that this development will be the best that it can possibly be for the residents that will move in once it's finished."Local

Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate, Dave Naghi adds, "The redevelopment of areas like Park Wood is critical if Maidstone is to continue to thrive. This is exactly the kind of work the Council should be promoting, not the Tories' wasteful £4 million paving slab scheme in the town centre."
